Ministry of Community
The efforts and initiatives of the parish toward building a Christian community through welcome and hospitality. This component includes the connection of the parish to the larger community through involvement in inter-faith programs, city and local government, and community affairs.
Our Welcome Committee creates ways to personally welcome each and every new member of our parish. This includes mailings, phone calls and some personal visits. Do you have a spirit of hospitality?? If so, contact CC Newby at 909-797-2533 ext 221 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Angel Tree program helps needy families at Christmas. If you can help with organizing this ministry contact Charlotte at email@example.com
Make a U-turn and enter the St. Frances’ “fun-zone”. Our social committee is in need of fun-loving people to assist in planning activities for all ages. Some of the exciting things we have done in the past are our annual parish picnic, our Halloween “trunk or treat” night, Mother’s Day luncheon, St. Frances Feast Day celebrations, Sock Hop dance, Casino Night and many more cool things. It’s time to start planning again for the next year. For further details, call 909-797-2533.

A community of women with young children who support and encourage each other, strengthen ourselves and our families; through prayer, service, education and activities. So that we may go forth to spread the light of Christ to our church, family and community and fulfill our vocational call as mothers. They offer both small faith group sharing, preschool activities for children, and outings. Please contact Teresa Russo 951-534-4001 for details.
Other Social Events
The following social events both community building and fundraisers, are in need of many hands.
Please contact the following people for information:
The annual rummage sale event is not only community building but it is also one of our largest parish outreach activities. People come, browse and purchase from a large selection of gently used treasures! Many of the items donated are household items, appliances, furniture, linens, clothing & accessories, toys & games, baby items, books & other media, hobby & office materials, tools, and much more! Items for the rummage sale are collected several days prior to the sale and are donated by other community members. After the close of the rummage sale, items are packed and given away to charities and some of the items are also donated to the silent auction at the parish.
Volunteers of all ages are needed to work a couple of hours or days to collect, set-up, clean, price and sort through all donated items. Participating in the Rummage Sale is a great way to make friends in the community while helping to serve the needy. If this ministry is for you, please contact Stan Serbin at 909-790-3901 or email@example.com for additional information.
